With a coaching style centered on positivity, accountability, and team culture, they help players develop confidence and resilience. Their leadership extends beyond the field, encouraging athletes to be strong competitors, great teammates, and leaders in their communities.
Donnie Platte
Coach Platte is committed to developing well-rounded athletes through strong fundamentals, positive coaching, and consistent encouragement. He believes every player has the ability to improve and succeed with the right mindset and work ethic. His coaching style focuses on building confidence, teaching the game the right way, and ensuring players enjoy the journey while competing at a high level. He not only teaches softball but currently plays it, in a local adult league.
Nathan Galloway
Coach Galloway is a dedicated softball coach focused on building strong fundamentals, confidence, and teamwork. He is passionate about developing young athletes in a positive, competitive environment while helping each player grow both on and off the field.
Chloe McGuire
Chloe McGuire has practically grown up on the softball field! After dedicating most of her life to the game, she wrapped up an incredible travel ball pitching career with her 2025 graduation from Great Bridge High School. But Chloe didn’t hang up her cleats for long — she made the ultimate power move from standout pitcher to inspiring coach! Now she’s bringing her knowledge, experience, and fierce leadership to Lightning 12U, and our girls are better because of it. From commanding the mound to leading the dugout, Coach Chloe is proof that once a softball player, always a softball player! ⚡
Amanda Sawyer
Coach Amanda is the heartbeat behind the hustle and the backbone of this team! 🥎 From keeping the girls positive, focused, and game-ready to answering every parent question with patience and a smile, she does it all. While she may work behind the scenes, you’ll always find her right in the action — running the live stream, keeping the scorebook sharp, and making sure those walk-up songs hit just right! She may not have grown up playing softball, but she’s grown into one of the game’s biggest champions. Her love for the sport is strong — but her love for her girls is even stronger. Every team needs a steady force, and I hope that the girls know that she will always be that force!

She might be the smallest on the field, but don’t let that fool you—this girl is MIGHTY! She takes on every challenge head-on jumping and sprinting after any ball that comes her way. If it’s hit near second, it’s as good as hers! And at the plate? The bunting QUEEN! She can drop a perfect bunt or turn around and rip a line drive—keeping defenses guessing every time. Emma proves it every game… it’s not about size, it’s about heart - and she’s got more than enough to go around. Don’t underestimate her… she’s not one to mess with!

Our double “C” player, Emma—Catcher and Centerfielder—is everywhere you need her to be! If she’s not tracking down balls in center field, she’s behind the plate snagging everything that comes her way. With her speed, agility, and smooth athleticism, Emma is a total force no matter where she lines up. She’s the definition of a team-first player—always putting in the extra effort and making sure her teammates are supported, on and off the field. At the plate, this lefty is a problem for defenses! Her slap bunt game is on point, looking effortless while keeping opponents on their toes. Emma brings heart, hustle, and versatility every single game—doing it all and doing it for her team

Lily knows exactly what to throw and when, attacking each batter with confidence and control, ready to shut it down. And if a hit sneaks through? No problem—she trusts her team and comes right back stronger. That’s the kind of competitor she is. When she’s not dealing on the mound, you’ll find her holding it down at second base, scooping up grounders and making plays. Always reliable, always there for her teammates. In the outfield, she’s always locked in—running, diving, and hustling like it’s second nature. Nothing gets past her in left field! And when she’s at shortstop? Don’t even think about stealing—she’s got the speed and instincts to chase you down and send you right back to the bag in a heartbeat or tag you out! At the plate, Hartlee is calm, confident, and ready. She waits for her pitch… then lets it fly! She made it known this season, blasting her very first in-the-park home run in Spring 2026! Hartlee doesn’t just play hard—she plays with heart, grit, and Lightning pride every step of the way.

Her speed? Untouchable. Whether she’s tracking down balls in the outfield or flying around the bases, Lilly is pure lightning in motion. Her base running IQ combined with that next-level speed makes her a constant threat—blink and she’s already stealing the next bag! When Lilly’s on the field, you better be watching… because every play, every swing, every step is a lightning strike waiting to happen.

Ever seen a dancing softball pitcher? Get ready—because Mel is bringing the moves AND the heat! If there’s a good beat, she’s dancing… and the next thing you know—STRIKE THREE! Her energy is electric, her confidence is contagious, and her pitches? Lights out. Think you made contact? Better not send it back her way—because she’ll snag it and get you out herself! Mel is a powerhouse on the mound, constantly pushing herself to be better every single day. She doesn’t do anything halfway—on or off the field, she gives it her ALL. Focused, fearless, and unshakable, nothing phases her. And when that ump calls strike? You’ll see that signature “YES!” arm pump, adding a little extra flair to an already unstoppable player!

In the dugout, Mia is always there—ready with a helping hand, a shoulder to lean on, or the perfect encouraging word after a tough inning. And in the field, she brings that same relentless energy every single play. Then at the plate… watch out. Aubrey’s got power, already racking up 3 in the park home runs in her Lightning career—TWO of which were back-to-back in the same game! She’s not just playing the game… she’s owning it.
