The Chesapeake Lightning softball program was founded with a vision to provide young athletes with exceptional coaching, competitive opportunities, and a supportive team environment. From our humble beginnings, we've grown into a respected organization known for developing skilled players and fostering a love for the game.

Our mission is to provide a positive, competitive, and supportive environment where young athletes can grow both on and off the softball field. As a volunteer-led organization, we are committed to investing every resource back into our players and future generations of athletes to create opportunities for development, teamwork, and success.
Through the game of softball, we strive to teach leadership, integrity, compassion, discipline, and respect while helping each player build confidence and lifelong skills. Our goal is not only to develop strong athletes, but to inspire and empower phenomenal young women who will make a positive impact in their communities and in today’s world.
