THIS HISTORY OF LIGHTNING SOFTBALL

The Chesapeake Lightning softball team is a travel organization based in Chesapeake, Virginia, offering competitive opportunities for players in divisions such as 10U, 12U, 14U, and 16U. Affiliated with the Southern Chesapeake Athletic Association (SCAA), the Lightning teams participate in various tournaments and events throughout the region. In 2024, the 12U Chesapeake Lightning team competed in the Queen of the Turf Softball tournament, showcasing their skills against other regional teams. The organization is committed to player development, hosting events like their inaugural summer camp featuring collegiate athletes from institutions such as Norfolk State, Virginia Wesleyan, and Cornell.
